This delicious smoothie makes for great post-workout fuel or a delectable dessert. Apple pectin, whey protein isolate, and oats team up to balance cholesterol and improve digestibility of nutrients. A slightly sour green apple is best but any eating apple will work well.
- 1 green apple
- 250ml almond milk (we use Inside Out- our absolute favourite!)
- 3 tbsp Vanilla WPI or WPC (or our neutral flavoured Bare Whey)
- 1 tbsp organic steel cut oats
- 1 tbsp caramelised buckinis
- 1 tsp organic maple syrup
- 1 pinch cinnamon powder
- 1 pinch nutmeg powder
- 1 tsp roasted almond bits
- 1 tsp caramelised buckinis from Scoop Wholefoods
- 1 tsp desiccated coconut
- 1 pinch cinnamon
- Core and segment apple.
- Blend with touch of almond milk until liquid.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Add topping.
