Cookie Dough Protein Balls

By Lilian Dikmans -

I was (and probably still am) one of those people who loves to eat cookie mixture out of the bowl before baking it.

So naturally, I'm a fan of any sort of cookie dough creation and these protein balls give you a cookie dough fix without the junk!

I've boosted them with Bare Blends Vanilla Bean WPI and their Peruvian Maca Powder for added protein and nutrients. Maca powder is full of essential vitamins and minerals and it adds a subtle butterscotch flavour to the balls. I like to add raw cacao nibs to the mixture for an antioxidant-rich choc-chip vibe, but you could add any sort of 'bits' you like. Toasted coconut, macadamia nuts, cranberries or crunchy buckwheat groats would also be nice!
