    • 1 cup smooth, natural peanut butter
    • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1/4 cup Cacao & Cinnamon Plant Protein
    • 2/3 cup hemp hearts/seeds
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • 80g vegan chocolate (I used a raw one)
    • 2 tbsp smooth peanut butter
    directions

    Mix the top top 6 ingredients together in a mixing bowl, until uniform. Pour into a silicone slic e tray (or lined metal one), and press down to form an even base. Set aside. Melt chocolate in a heat proof bowl over simmering water. Once melted, stir in the 2 Tbsp peanut butter and mix well. Pour over the base, then set in the fridge until firm. Slice into desired servings, and store in an air tight container. This will keep in the fridge for up to a couple of weeks.

    • 3/4 cup desiccated coconut
    • 1/4 cup Cacao & Cinnamon Plant Protein
    • 2 tbsp coconut sugar
    • 2 tbsp (preferably activated) buckwheat grouts
    • 40 grams cacao butter, grated
    • 300g silken tofu
    • 1 cup raw, unsalted cashews or macadamias, soaked for 4 hours in water
    • 1.5+ tbsp Bare Berries
    • 1 tbsp lemon zest
    • 1/3 cup lemon juice
    • 1/2 cup rice malt syrup
    • 1 tsp vanilla (of choice - I used powder)
    • 1/4 cup coconut oil
    • 1/4 cup cacao butter, grated
    directions

    Make the crust 1. Set aside a silicone, 6 piece muffin tray. 2. Add grated cacao butter to a heat proof bowl, and set over a pot of simmering water. Allow to melt, then remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes. 3. Meanwhile, add coconut, coconut sugar, buckwheat and plant protein powder to a large mixing bowl. Mix well, then add the cacao butter. Mix again, spoon approx. 1.5 tbsp into each silicone mould and press done to form a nice even base (and just eat any remaining base mixture - yum!). Make the filling 1. Add grated cacao butter and coconut oil to a heat proof bowl, and set over a pot of simmering water. Allow to melt, then remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes. 2. Meanwhile, add tofu, nuts, lemon zest and juice, rice malt syrup and vanilla to a high-speed blender and blitz on high until smooth (around 1 minutes). 3. Next, add the melted cacao butter and coconut oil, BUT reserve around 1 tsp of the oil. Blend again on high, for around 1 minute. 4. Pour 1/2 the mixture into a bowl. Add the berry powder and remaining oil, and blend again for 15-30 seconds. Taste this mixture, and add more berry powder as desired. **Assemble your cakes** 1. Fill each mould 1/2 way with the berry layer, then top with the lemon mixture*. Transfer the left over mixture to the fridge to firm up if you wish to do the pipping on top, and put the cupcakes in the freezer set for a minimum of 3 hours. 2. If doing pipping, wait to the remaining mixture is around the consistency of thick yoghurt, then transfer to pipping bag with desired nozzle. Remove cupcakes from the freezer and from their moulds, and allow to defrost for 10-15 minutes then pipe on top as desired. Decorate with edible flowers and enjoy immediately. *If you wish to have perfect layers, add the berry layer first, then set in the freezer for 1 hour before adding the lemon layer. **You can easily turn this into one large cake - just ensure you set it overnight in the freezer before allowing 1/2 to defrost and slice up.

    • 2/3 cup coconut milk
    • 1 1/4 cups soft dates, pitted (we used Medjool dates)
    • 1/2 cup Vanilla & Coconut Plant Protein
    • 1/4 tsp good-quality salt
    • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
    • 1/2 cup + 1 tbsp rice malt syrup
    directions

    Make the crust 1. Grease a medium sized tart tin (i used coconut oil) and line the base with baking paper 2. Add grated cacao butter and rice malt syrup to a heat proof bowl, and set over a pot of simmering water. Allow to melt. 3. Meanwhile, add almond meal, coconut and plant protein powder to a large mixing bowl. Mix well, then add the cacao butter and rice malt syrup mixture once melted. Mix again, then transfer to the tart tin. Take your time to spread and press the mix uniformly, creating a nice, even base. Set aside. Make the filling 1. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender, ensuring you have removed all pits from the dates, then blend until very smooth*. You will need to use the tamper to help the blender along, as the mixture will be very thick. Once smooth, scrap the filling into the tart shell. Set in the fridge for a minimum of 2 hours. 2. To serve, decorate with fresh berries and melted chocolate, or a simple sprinkling of salt flakes. Store in an air-tight container in the fridge (for up to 1 week), or freezer (for up to 3 weeks).

    Is whey protein isolate suitable for lactose intolerant people?

    Bare Blends whey protein isolate blends contains almost no lactose, and are suitable for lactose intolerant people. The NZ whey protein concentrate contains significantly more lactose, and is not as suitable for those with intolerances.

    What is the best storage method?

    The best method of storage is in a cool, dry location, and properly closed. Refrigeration should only be used when room temperature exceeds 27 degrees Celsius.

    What is the shelf life?

    Bare Blends' products have a 24-month shelf life from date of manufacture. The expiration date is clearly listed on the package. We are committed to keeping our batch sizes small to ensure maximum freshness of our products.

    What are the serving sizes?

    The recommended serving size is 30g, which equates to 3 tablespoons. Our serving sizes are an estimate for the average person, however, each individual will have different requirement for their optimal protein consumption. You may wish to experiment with the serving size until you find a quantity that suits you. For people consuming whey for weight management, consume 20-30g per serving For athletes aiming to increase lean muscle growth, or participating in strenuous exercise, consume 35g or more.

    What is the amino acid profile of WPI?

    Whey protein is one of the few sources that naturally contain all 20 amino acids, making it a complete protein. Bare Blends’ whey protein isolate blends have a superior amino acid profile, and are especially undenatured due to low-temperature processing. They provide our bodies with the most functional protein to recover, repair and build muscles, and also boosting our immunity.     Is whey protein suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women?

    Our whey protein blends use the highest quality wheys available, and don't include any artificial ingredients or high-level doses of synthesised amino acids. It should be an acceptable source of protein during pregnancy for healthy women without dairy allergens. As pregnancy is extremely personalised, we do recommend that prior to taking whey protein, pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a physician to be sure whey protein is right for them.

    Is whey protein suitable for children?

    Although we use only the highest quality ingredients in all our blends, with nothing artificial or even 'natural' flavours, unfortunately we are unable to provide dietary advice for children under the age of 16. Therefore, we must recommend you seek the professional opinion of your family health care physician.

    Isn’t whey protein just for athletes and bodybuilders?

    No, absolutely not. Whey protein has long been the protein supplementation of choice for athletes and bodybuilders because it is the most easily absorbed, high protein source available. But protein is important for everyone, not just athletes and bodybuilders, and can be incorporated to almost any diet to support a healthy lifestyle!

    Can I use WPI as meal replacement?

    Yes, protein shakes can be used as meal replacements, especially if blended with nut milk, dairy milk, or coconut water and nuts/fruits/veggies. This will make a satiating smoothie that will keep you feeling full and provide you with nutrients and energy throughout the day. We do of course recommend a healthy wholefood diet in conjunction with our supplements, and at least a minimal amount of exercise per day so that you can make the most out of our protein and it's lean-muscle building and weight-management attributes.

    Is our whey protein powder organic?

    While not certified organic, our whey has all the advantages of 100% natural pastures. The milk for our whey proteins is derived from cows that are grass-fed and graze year-round on natural pastures. It is GMO-free, hormone-treatment-free, pesticide-free and undergoes minimal processing.

    Bare Blends Vegan bundle

    I was looking for a really clean, great tasting & high quality protein for myself as a busy mummy and for my hubby & three young kids. I needed something we could all use and I’ve found it. The vanilla coconut protein is an absolute winner. The kids love it in their smoothies and I’ve used it in baking and bliss balls for school/family snacks. What’s more, it’s the first time as a family we’ve been able to enjoy super greens. If my 7, 5 and 3 year old asks for more greens then it must be awesome!
