Blending up a serve of our whey protein isolate with dairy/nut milk with some frozen fruit is a delicious healthy breakfast or lunch which will keep you nutritionally satisfied until your next meal.

Protein is essential for a healthy working immune system. It is a major energy source and it is responsible for everything from building tissues, boosting immunity, and making your hair and nails strong and shiny.

Organically Grown Vanilla Bean

Organically Grown Vanilla Bean

These orchid vines climb existing trees, poles or whatever they can find and produce deep green beans. When picked, they are quickly blanched in boiling water then set out to dry. Known for its mood enhancing properties and warm inviting aroma. Provides the blend with a delicious, crowd-pleasing taste! Our vanilla is the same A-grade beans that you will find in specialty cooking stores and delis.

Grass-Fed Whey Protein Isolate
New Zealand

Grass-Fed Whey Protein Isolate

Whey protein isolate (WPI) is a high-protein filtered milk product containing very little fats, lactose or carbohydrates. Our high-quality WPI is sourced from New Zealand, where the dairy farming practices and pristine environment are unparalleled. Our whey undergoes less acidification and pasteurisation than others, resulting in a superior essential amino acid profile.

Organic Stevia Extract

Organic Stevia Extract

High quality pure organic stevia provides just the right touch of sweetness without contributing unnecessary sugars to your waistline. Stevia is low GI and also has the added advantage of not feeding plaque on your teeth like sugar does.

Non-GMO Soy Lecithin

Non-GMO Soy Lecithin

We include a tiny amount of non-GMO soy lecithin in our whey protein blends - 0.1%. It is an emulsifier that’s needed for mixing, and it keeps the whey powder from bricking when mixed with liquid.

Recipes with Vanilla Bean WPI

Lemon and Mango Sorbet

Lemon and Mango Sorbet

1. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until smooth. 2. Add more mango if the smoothie is too runny, or more coconut milk if it's too thick to achieve desired consistency. 3. Serve straight away in a bowl and if desired, top with your favourite toppings. We used crushed macadamias.

Vanilla Protein Porridge

Vanilla Protein Porridge

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 2 cup water + 2 tbsp
  • 1 ½ cups nut milk
  • 2 serves Vanilla Bean WPI
  • 2 peaches or plums quartered
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • ¼ tsp of cinnamon
  • berries of choice
  • 1 tbsp almond butter

1. Preheat the oven on to 190c/375f. In a small baking pan add the stone fruits and 2 tbsp water. Sprinkle with cinnamon and drizzle with honey. Place in the oven to roast for around 25 minutes, until golden and caramelised, stirring halfway. 2. Combine the oats and 2 cups of water in a small saucepan and bring to the boil. Once boiling drop to simmer on low, stirring regularly for around 8 minutes. While this is simmering, combine the nut milk with protein powder in a blender (like this Vitamix). Whizz until combined. Add this to the simmering oats and stir well for another 2-3 minutes until it is smooth and creamy. 3. Split the porridge between 2 bowls and top with roasted fruits, fresh berries and almond butter. Recipe can be halved for 1 serve.

Four Ingredient Peanut Butter Protein Bars

Four Ingredient Peanut Butter Protein Bars

  • 1 1/2 cups oat bran*
  • 1 cup Vanilla Bean WPI
  • 1 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup rice malt syrup (or pure maple syrup or honey)
  • Water, as needed

1. Place the protein powder, oat bran, peanut butter and rice malt syrup into a food processor and process until you get a dough. You will need to add a little water to bring everything together – I usually add about 1/2 cup water. 2. Line a tray with baking paper. Form the mixture into bar shapes with your hands and press onto the tray. Leave in the fridge to firm up. 3. Store in the fridge and use within a week or freeze. *Oats and oat bran naturally don't contain gluten, but as they are often processed on the same equipment as wheat, they can have traces of gluten. If you're strictly gluten-free, you can buy gluten-free oats and process them in a food processor to get 1 1/2 cups oat flour.

Our serving sizes are an estimate for the average person, however, each individual will have different requirement for their optimal protein consumption. Whey protein is one of the few sources that naturally contain all 20 amino acids, making it a complete protein. Bare Blends’ whey protein isolate blends have a superior amino acid profile, and are especially undenatured due to low-temperature processing. Is whey protein suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women?

Our whey protein blends use the highest quality wheys available, and don't include any artificial ingredients or high-level doses of synthesised amino acids. Although we use only the highest quality ingredients in all our blends, with nothing artificial or even 'natural' flavours, unfortunately we are unable to provide dietary advice for children under the age of 16. Therefore, we must recommend you seek the professional opinion of your family health care physician.

Isn’t whey protein just for athletes and bodybuilders?

No, absolutely not. Whey protein has long been the protein supplementation of choice for athletes and bodybuilders because it is the most easily absorbed, high protein source available. But protein is important for everyone, not just athletes and bodybuilders, and can be incorporated to almost any diet to support a healthy lifestyle!

Can I use WPI as meal replacement?

Yes, protein shakes can be used as meal replacements, especially if blended with nut milk, dairy milk, or coconut water and nuts/fruits/veggies. This will make a satiating smoothie that will keep you feeling full and provide you with nutrients and energy throughout the day. We do of course recommend a healthy wholefood diet in conjunction with our supplements, and at least a minimal amount of exercise per day so that you can make the most out of our protein and it's lean-muscle building and weight-management attributes.

Is our whey protein powder organic?

While not certified organic, our whey has all the advantages of 100% natural pastures. The milk for our whey proteins is derived from cows that are grass-fed and graze year-round on natural pastures. It is GMO-free, hormone-treatment-free, pesticide-free and undergoes minimal processing.

So yummy!!

This is such a yummy blend! I’ve added mango, berries or green blends and they all make for tasty variations. I have also never found a vanilla that actually tasted like vanilla ice cream, but this one delivers!! It’s also so creamy.

My Favourite WPI

Bare Blends Vanilla Bean WPI is the best protein powder I’ve ever tasted. Clean, natural taste - not the over-the-top big vanilla hit you get from supermarket brands - Bare Blends is more subtle, which means a great vanilla taste AND you still taste everything else in your smoothies too!
