Immune Boosting Hot Chocolate Elixir

As the weather starts to cool, our drinks start to warm up, and that’s a change that we‘re welcoming! This immune-boosting hot chocolate elixir has just the right amount of chocolatey goodness and a touch of sweetness to keep us feeling warm and cosy.
This recipe is boosted with adaptogenic Maca Powder to help balance hormones and stabilise mood, medicinal mushrooms Lion’s Mane and Chaga, and Raw Cacao Powder to help boost serotonin and endorphins.
Immune Boosting Hot Chocolate Elixir

Ingredients
- 400 ml preferred milk (we used almond)
- 30 gram cacao butter (buttons, or grated)
- 2 tablespoon Organic Raw Peruvian Cacao - Organic Raw Peruvian Cacao
- 1 teaspoon Organic Chaga Mushroom (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Organic Lion's Mane Mushroom (optional)
- 2 teaspoon Organic Raw Peruvian Maca - Organic Raw Peruvian Maca
- 2 teaspoon pure maple syrup
- 1 pinch salt
Directions
- 1. Add milk to a saucepan and heat until almost boiling (around 70 degrees is perfect, but you can just heat until it feels too hot to stick your finger in).
- 2. Add warmed milk to a blender with the remaining ingredients. Blend for around 20 seconds, or until well mixed and fluffy. Serve between two mugs and share with your bestie. Enjoy!
- Note: DO NOT blend hot liquid in a blender not designed to do so (the mini ones that are sealed, with no steam hole). We use a large blender, with the steam hole open. You can substitute by adding all the ingredients into the saucepan with warm milk and use a stick/immersion blender.
- Note: You can substitute the Chaga, Maca or Lion's Mane for your preferred Bare Blends products or boosters.
